Newsletter #18

Dear Parents -

We finish our Personal Culture unit this week.  The kids have done some pretty nice work.  Latest entrees brought in were Jack S with baklava, Oriah with potato leek soup, and Jack T with ricotta cheese cookies! The food has been great!

BKLK

We will continue our new math unit this week as well as after break. Measuring Polygons looks like a lot of fun.  The kids really seem to enjoy the LogoPaths software!

Brian

The literature groups continue to do well.  A number of our kids are making great gains in the area of reading.  As you probably noticed in the Caller Mr. Paciulli is ecstatic about our NECAP scores!

Keep sending in the signed independent reading logs for your children.  I’d like that number to go up if possible.  Reading at home will certainly help our reading effort here at school.

The winter sports program has come to an end.   I hope the people at Mount Snow survived the cold last Friday!

The kids enjoyed going to Everyone’s Books with Mr. Brewer.  For some it was the first time ever buying a book in a bookstore! Everyone was able to make a purchase.

This is our last week until break.  I think we’re all ready!

Thank you for supporting the Book Fair.

                                                                                                                      Best

Jim Bedard
